Cornerstone Staff
The CCDC staff is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating surrounding for your child. Our teaching staff takes the time to develop an understanding of each child’s unique characteristics and needs, while creating an environment that is healthy, respectful, supportive and challenging for all children.
The staff at CCDC is concerned with the total and unique growth and development of each child and seeks to promote mental development, social development, emotional development physical development and spiritual development.
Current Administration
Bridget Yates
Bridget has served as the Executive Director at Cornerstone since June of 2006. She is a Louisville native and mother of Julia (6) and Lillian (3). Bridget graduated from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana with a degree in psychology. Prior to coming to Cornerstone, she served as the Development Director and Director of the Child Development Center at a non-profit agency in Louisville that serves low-income families. Bridget spends her free time with her family and coaching volleyball at a local college.
Valerie Shell
Valerie currently serves as the Curriculum Specialist at Cornerstone. She received her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Development. She has taught at all age levels and served as Executive Director at a local center for 7 years. She was instrumental in the birth and development of Cornerstone in 2004. Valerie is married to Michael and they have 3 children. Her free time is spent scrapbooking, attending sporting events for her girls and spending the afternoons with her son.
